2024 - A New Year of Cotswold Events
Broadway village is home to some of the Cotswolds’ most-loved events. Our local annual ‘season’ embraces everything, from horticultural shows to Christmas shopping evenings, as our village rolls through the year.

Several gardens open locally for the snowdrop and daffodil seasons. National Trust Gardens such as Hidcote Manor, resume daily opening from the 10th February. Check for details.

2nd March
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway re-opens for 2023 Season. We’re very proud of this volunteer-led, heritage railway. It offers heritage diesel and steam services on a round trip of 28 miles, between Broadway Station. and Cheltenham Racecourse (Park and Ride for Cheltenham), through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds. www.gwsr.com

The Festival Cheltenham Racecourse
Four days of top flight NationalHunt Racing with the Gold Cup event itself as the highlight. Early bird discounts are available.

Asparagus Day
With the Vale of Evesham (‘asparagus country’) on our doorstep, asparagus is the star on local menus throughout May (actually the season begins on St George’s Day on the 21st April). The quality of local ‘gras’ is sensational and The Broadway Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy it.

Inspiring gardens, flowers (naturally) and retail a-plenty at the Three Counties Showground.

Broadway Car Show
Two day celebration of classic, vintage and supercars, with an appearance by the Vampire Jet Car this year (the UK land speed record holder).

Moreton Show – The Countryside in a Day!
One of the biggest one-day shows in the UK – it’s no surprise that the Cotswolds host an agricultural event on such a grand scale.

Broadway Horticultural & Craft Show
Broadway Horticultural and Craft Show is affiliated with the RHS, run by a local group of volunteers. The event opens to the public at 1pm on the village green.

Broadway Food Festival
Meet local growers and farmers with their best seasonal produce. They’re joined by coffee roasters, millers, brewers, cider makers, bakers, keepers of bees bee, makers of preserves and cheesemakers, with plenty of food demos. Naturally, the Broadway Hotel is at the centre of the action, supplemented by a feast of food-to-go on The Green.

Cheltenham Literature Festival
Cheltenham’s Literature Festival is Britain’s oldest, and always seems to attract a stellar line up of TV celebs and literary stars. In recent years, the likes of Bob Mortimer and Paul Theroux have made appearances. Cheltenham is within easy reach of Broadway.

First Late Night Christmas Shopping in Broadway 5.30 to 8.30pm
First of two evenings. A lovely festive atmosphere with beautiful Christmas lights, all our Broadway shops are all open late, live music, mulled wine and festive food sold through the village. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the beginning of the festive Season of Goodwill and stock up on gifts. A highlight of the Broadway year and not to be missed.
